Sydni and Dough were married on October 8, 2021 surrounded by friends and family. The day was uncertain because of the weather forecast but it did not get anyone down. We started getting ready shots at the wonderful venue Fishermen's Inn in Elburn, Illinois. If you have never been, I highly suggest stopping by. They have more than just beautiful grounds. Their staff is top notch as well as their amazing food! Once details and getting ready pictures were done, we moved on to the first looks.
I love first looks. It gives people the chance to have that one on one moment with one another before the events start. I think it also helps to relieve some stress of the day! Sydni did a first look with her then finance Doug, followed by her father. Both moments were so sweet. Doug was all smiles when he first saw Sydni in her dress. She was absolutely stunning and even left her dad speechless.
Before the rain came, we snuck out for a few portraits. Unfortunately, the rain came quicker then we had hoped but we were still able to get some great shots on the grounds. Once we saw the rain was there to stay, we ran inside to finish portraits and do bridal party photos.
The ceremony was lead by Doug's father and he did an amazing job.. He said all the right things making people both laugh and cry. What an honor it must have been to wed your son. and new daughter.
Fishermen's reception area had an elegant rustic feel. They always manage to make it feel relaxing but beautiful in there. The reception went over smoothly. The toasts were short and sweet. We ended the night with open dancing. Everyone was clearly enjoying themselves when we snuck out at our end time.
Thank you Doug and Syndi for trusting me with your day. It was an honor. Thank you Fishermen's for helping the day run smoothly and making everything so amazing. Lastly, thank you to my second shooter who did everything from shooting to holding umbrellas to fluffing dresses. A great team is a great way to have a great day!
